SEED PACKET DANDY COLLARETTE DAHLIA

The precursor to the bicycle, a wooden frame with wheels powered by scurrying feet, was referred to as a “Dandy Horse”—and that wasn’t a compliment. In previous centuries, dandies, loosely defined as fashion-focused men with aristocratic aspirations, were derided for their devotion to artifice, their uselessness to society. But these plants, like today’s bicycles, prove the dandies were right. The fancy-collared blooms pave a layer of bright joy, and the robust plants never throw on the brakes.
