The Colorado Candle

We worked with a local candle maker and a local ceramist to create a candle that captures the scent of our mountains.

Notes from Jill of Aspen Clean Candle:

• The Colorado Candle is free from petroleum wax (paraffin), synthetic fragrance, phthalates, hormone disruptors, artificial colorants, and all California Proposition 65 chemicals.
• Each stoneware vessel is handmade by Liam Grinton in Denver, CO.
• Always trim your candle wick to about 1/4" before you light it. Don’t burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. With proper care, your candle will burn clean to the bottom.
• The paper dust covers on the stoneware candles have wildflower seeds in them. Simply place the paper dust cover in a cup of water overnight, then drop it in some soil, cover with about 1/4" of more soil, water it, and wait! 
• The shade of purple on this handmade vessel will vary. That's the nature of ceramic glazes!

Full Ingredients

100% American soy wax, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) essential oil, abies balsamea (fir needle) essential oil, cedrus atlantica (Atlas cedarwood) essential oil, vetiveria zizanoides (vetiver) essential oil, salvia officinalis (Dalmation sage) essential oil*, cotton/paper wicks

Instructions

Let your candle burn for about 3 hours the first time you use it to ensure that future burns will continue to melt the wax down the sides properly. Trim your candle wick to about 1/4" before you light it and remove any black wick buildup! Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
